Moving a site from Frontpage to Dreamweaver

Why does it look so odd?

I recently decided it may be time for me to try out Dreamweaver. I open my website in DW and the tables are all messed up. My Navigation bar which is normally on the left moved directly on top of the content, however when viewed through internet explorer and firefox it appears fine like it always did in Frontpage 2003. I also checked out another site or two and it did some really weird stuff too.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Probably just something that MS does to discourage you from changing software.

Try the Import FrontPage Site Wizard for Dreamweaver MX, V2.0.2 :

or the Cleanup FrontPage HTML, V1.0 :

Actually, it's a Dreamweaver problem, and Jon_King was kind enough to provide a solution.

Thanks, that is a good find. unfortunately a long awaited response. I had to repair my frontpage problem. I ended up backing up my hard drive, FDISKEDed hard drive. I had a bad shopping cart tool which integrates with frontpage. Reinstalling both the tool addin and frontpage didn't solve the problem so I wanted to move on to Dreamweaver. Another problem I have with frontpage is the .dwt templates sometimes quit updating all the files connected to it.
I hope Dreamweaver fixes that problem. If it look right in 2 different browsers+ FP2003 than there is no reason Dreamweaver should bug out.

I will definately have to bookmark this thread though. Thanks for the DW links.
