Just hoping someone has found the magic solution to this issue. I didn't see the answer when I searched the threads here, but there has to be some way to select more than one file and apply a template to it.

my site currently uses 9 templates, but I've written new code than eliminates the need for the seperate templates, I just need the new one. I can't believe macromedia wouldn't design an easier way to apply this new template to each htm page. Opening 150 pages and doing it one at a time seems asinine.

can anyone help?

thanks.

If all your pages are linked to the template, they should automatically update as you change your template.

I'm not even sure you could do it with a DW extension. I took a quick spin through the API docs and it doesn't look like it's possible to do any template related stuff AFAICT...

I might take a closer look later, since I've got an upcoming template change to one of my sites and I'm looking at about 150 pages as well (and I'm lazy).

well, I've spoken with macromedia support, and they say that it is NOT possible to do it. You have to open each file and then apply the new template to each file individually... sheesh.

Do a sitewide code search and replace. Find the code in each of the 9 versions one at a time and replace with your new code. Should be a very quick way to do your update....
