My team is copying text off internet explorer and dumping it into dreamweaver. It comes in with the page formatting, but we just want text....but they also want to keep the links.

I thought I could use macros to search through the source code and remove the tags, but that isn't working. i'm not bringing in stuff from word, so clean word html doesn't seem appropriate.

I guess what I'm trying to do is eliminate formatting commands without removing the hyperlinks...

thanks.

I am using Firefox and have downloaded an extension for copying as text only.

As Firefox is my default browser It really quick and easy for me to use.

Most of the content I have to copy are from my advertisers who request me to take the info from their web sites and reproduce so of course I used it all the time and saves on formatting

Use firefox as suggested or if really your guys want to keep IE you have the equivalent called enote or enotes I don't remember exactly which is free.
