Both. What happens is that whenever a file is saved only some (not all) images are set at h0, w0 and saved that way although no work was done on them or close areas around the pics.
Now in order to get the right format up I have to copy/paste the code over to the server, page by page...
If they are not correct, what is the img src referencing?
Are your width and height attributes quoted?
P.S. I'm trying to think of everything that would affect the width and height attributes of an image.
I drag the image file from the /images/ folder into the page while in Normal view. The image will then appear. FP by default will assign the width and height attributes.
Once I save the page, everything is the way it should be.
Can you describe to me what you go through when placing an image?
P.S. I edit live via IE. No FTP and no publishing routine. You've stated that you are FTP'ing. If the problem occurs after the FTP, my first guess would be to look at my FTP settings. I'll typically use FTP to transfer large chunks of data but have not seen any issues with code being rewritten.
P.S.S. What version of FP and what FTP program?
P.S.S.S. Have you changed any of your Page Options? Are you using the Auto Thumbnail feature or something?
1. Placing images out of insert/picture, then grab it from /images/ location
or
double click existing image, replace with browsing for new image in popping dialogue box.
2. FTP out of FP, either selected files only (most of the time) or publishing the whole web. Same result with both methods.
3. FP 2002
4. No change of page options or rwriting of any sort.
As I described before, everything looks great while working on the page, even after savings it looks cool locally. Missing pics only visible after becoming live due to the change of h and w into value zero.
Does this happen randomly? Is there a specific set of pages it happens to? Are these images part of any FP WYSIWYG feature. Is there something common amongst the pages where this is occurring?
P.S. I've set up a test web so that I can mimic the FP publishing routine and I don't see any options during that routine that would overwrite image file sizes.
Arrrggghhh, don't you just hate it when you can't figure something out?
...tell me about it...
1. Does this happen randomly?
-> yes
2. Is there a specific set of pages it happens to?
-> yes, some 60% of pages of that site (all pages have same type pictures)
3. Are these images part of any FP WYSIWYG feature.
-> Don't understand this question, sorry. Working in WYSIWYG I inlcude the pics via Insert / Picture from File
4. Is there something common amongst the pages where this is occurring?
-> Yes, pages are similar in build-up and content, very similar as only pictures and accompanying text vary.
Again: Thanks soo much digiing this.
Will try contacting MS now, in case of any resolution I will post it here for archiving and to others for some help (if needed).
