Hi, I'm looking for a free program that does a site-wide find & replace. When I did a search, I kept getting dreamweaver, but I remember seeing mention of another program that did this but was free a long time ago - does anyone remember what it was?

Jennifer

If your software can not do this I suggest you invest in a better software program. Almost all major programs I can think of can search and replace strings within a designated folder.

If yours can not do this cosnider the software at coffeecup.com. They have a great variety of software available, and it works well. theri HTML editor out of th box can search and replce an entire folder out of the box, plus they have a great variety of free useful programs.

Jennifer,

Do a search for "advanced find and replace". There is a great tool that can be used in many modes - batch, interactive etc.

There`s also jReplace. Type that into Google, its the first link. Or should be.

I use a pay one which is fantastic called Alias Find & Replace. I`m quite happy with that one.
