Forum Moderators: open
I believe FP stores all the settings for external servers you connect to with FP, such as URL, username and password.
If they go to FILE > OPEN > MY NETWORK PLACES their URL should hopefully be there complete with details upon access.
If not...would the host (or you) not know the password? :)
Add or change an FTP location
After establishing an FTP location, you can add or change that FTP location the next time you publish.
Before you can change an FTP location, you need to know the FTP server name and directory path. The FTP server name is the domain name of the Web server to which you are publishing (for example, ftp.server.com). The directory path is the folder on the server where your web is stored (for example, public_html). If you are unsure about your user name, password, or FTP location, contact your Internet service provider.
On the File menu, click Publish Web.
Click Options to expand the list of options.
Specify whether you want to publish only pages that have changed, or all pages.
To publish subwebs, select the Include subwebs check box.
In the Specify the location to publish your web to box, type the location of an FTP Web server (for example, ftp://ftp.server.com/public_html), or click the arrow to select a location to which you have published before.
IF the password shows up there, you can use a password recovery tool to capture it. This is the only way I know to bring up anything resembling a normal FTP dialog box in FP.
