Find & replace without opening the files

Anything other than Homesite that can do this?

I really like the feature on Homesite that lets you do multi-line find & replace's on all files within your selected directories (and subdirectories if desired).

However, the deom version I'd been using at home ran out.

Does anyone know of any free (or relatively cheap) software that will do this for me?

Cheers

UltraEdit will do this. It has a 30 day free trial and only costs like $30.

Crimson Editor will do this, even the subdirectories. Crimson Editor is free, and is color coded for html, javascript, php, etc.

NoteTab is perfect for this role. It can do a search and replace on thousands of files in seconds. Ive found it the best text editor by far, for my requirements.
