Getting Rid of Frames

How do I do this in Front Page?

If I design my website using Microsoft Frontpage, and was recommended to get rid of my use of frames, is there a way to do this if you use Frontpage?

There's no automatic way to do this in FP. You would simply have to design your site without frames. If you have an existing site you can copy and paste into a new site. If you were using the frames for navigation bars then you would need to remake that part of the page.

I would suggest you read up about FP's Include Page component. You can make your navigation bars in the Include Page and then add them to all your pages.

If you cannot use Frontpage to make a website without frames, what software should I buy to create my pages
then?

In the long run you would be better off learning how to code html using a good text editor, also if you learnt a little php you would be able to quickly convert frames sites to flat sites by using php includes.

Do a search on a search engine for html tutorials there's lots of good ones out there and all of the ones I've seen are free.

Do you all agree that search engines hate frames?
I have pretty good search engine rankings, however, someone suggested I would have much better rankings if I didn't use frames.
I don't have any clue how to do this-do know some html code but Frontpage really helps me out.

no - I don't - I see framed sites doing well all over the place

FrontPage can be used just fine to create a site without frames - what bill is saying is that there is nothing that will take a framed site and convert it to a non framed site just by the click of a button. To convert a framed to non framed site you'll have to include the navigation into the regular page code by hand - FP is fine for this.

The main page gets indexed and cached ok but the framed pages do not, that is the problem.

Here's a thread that enlightened me about frames:
