Css Divs uneditable in DreamWeaver4

Is it me or DW

I'm using Css Div's (for positioning), they look fine in IE but DW4 shows the positions of the Divs very badly. I can't edit the text unless I use the code editor in DW.
- Is this a problem with DW4? is it just me?
- Does DW5 overcome this?

Dreamweaver MX (5) is much better at it. It does like you to set an id, (#navbar {...)in css, <div id="navbar"> in html) for div's that you are positioning, as opposed to a class, which is a good idea anyway.

Dreamweaver 4 seemed to like its own css better than hand edited stuff :)

I often use absolute DIVs and never had any problems with DW unless you place them in an xternal CSS file.

Yep, thats what I've done. I want my css external for managebility.

Sounds fine to me. Are you saying they look ok in DW MX and that DW4 doesn't do it?
If so, its probably time for me to upgrade.

Just tried to check the eval version of MX but it expired :(

hope MX does show external CSS divs its been a pain not being able to see them in DW.

The way i edit external divs in a CSS is to copy and paste into the <head> and then when finished paste em back into the CSS file using simpletext/notepad.

Have just been working on a site with external css in MX, positioning, displays fine.
