Creating navigation bars without FP

Hi,
I have just learnt how to validate my pages with W3C but get many <nobr> errors that have been caused by using FP2000 Page Include function for my navigation bars.
If it isn't too difficult, I would like to learn how to include navigation bars without using FP Page Include - although I don't seem to find many sites that explain this in easy terms - can anybody recommend a good site?
