i was recently given a site to work on, and every single page has a table on it that i don't want... i don't want to manually remove each one, as there are more than 2500 pages to do this on...
i need a macro or advice as to what to do... i tried the find/replace function, but i would have to do it separately for each line of html code for the table, and there are other tables that i want to keep in the site, and the find/replace would remove them too, if i did that approach...
FRONTPAGE 2003
Updating to FP2003 will give you a "smart find and replace" feature that's more advanced than the one in FP2002. I haven't used it yet, but I looked at it just now, and it appears that it can do what you need. Perhaps a more experienced FP2003 user can jump in and comment.
HOMESITE
I don't use HomeSite very often, but I do keep a copy around when I want to do complicated search-and-replace operations on my FrontPage site. It has the best search-and-replace function of any HTML editor that I've used. List price is $99, street price is probably a bit less, and you can download a free 30-day trial version at Macromedia's Web site.
SEARCH AND REPLACE
Funduc Software's Search and Replace is an even more powerful tool, and it costs only $25. However, it's a bit more complicated to learn and may be overkill for your purposes. See www.funduc.com's Search and Replace page for product details.
