ok...editing php files in FPage..seems so easy then..

need help in front page with a php board

Otay...I'm in 2002 FP/have added the mod to view and edit php files. Can do the index.php no prob but no other files, they come up all code no matter what.

I have changed my options for editors to FP but no effect.

...all I want to is to change some text, put in a logo etc on these other pages...forum list etc.
and I am clueless to html. Am I screwed? :)

Probably because FP thinks that the page won't display correctly because it's a server side script? In dreamweaver, there is design view and code view and you can edit php in design view (the php shows up as little icons) but you can't preview in a browser unless you set up a testing server on your machine and tell Dreamweaver where it is.
