Hi there,

I'm in the process of putting together a site that will be selling an e-product for download, likely in PDF format.

I will likely be using paysystems.com to handle the payment processing, so I need to have a page setup that the customer will be redirected to after making payment where they can download the product.

Problem is, i've never made a site with a file download page and am not sure how to do this - can it be done in FP 2000, or is it something that needs to be set up separately through my host? I tried looking through the help directory and on the web but can't seem to find any info on how to do this. Can anyone direct me to somewhere where I might be able to find the info on how to do this?

thanks a million :-)

A download page is easy. Just get whatever you want downloaded into your web and add a link to it.

HOWEVER, if you just use a standard page for this, there is nothing to stop a user passing the URL of that page to all his friends and they can have a free download fest!

You really need to have the page protected and to use some sort of a script to confirm that payment has been made before access is allowed to the page.

This is outside the scope of FP - have a look at some of the script sites and you will find plety of scripts that will manage downloads for you.
