Does anyone know how to get Dreamweaver's find and replace function to be able to search multiple .tpl files in a folder for a certain string?

It works on .html, .php etc. files but not .tpl files. It simply ignores .tpl files.

How do I configure Dreamweaver so that it will search multiple .tpl files for certain strings?

I just tested .tpl in CS4 and it found strings just like any other file.

The only thing I know of where DW completely misses terms of a serch, if you are using CS4, is that often there is a memory leak when a large amount of files are part of the search. I have to close DW and restart then the search function works as expected... for a while. (PC version)

You might need to add .tpl as a file type extension...in order for DW to find this and run search and replace...
do this from within Edit > Preferences > Files Types/Editors
..and then add the .tpl extension and try again...
