Hi

Just started using FrontPage 2000 - but until I am certain that I am going to stay with it, I have decided to stay away from using any features that require the server extensions. This will make life easier in the future if I move on to a different editor.

My question is concerning the other features of FP that DON'T require the extensions to operate - especially include pages, which is a feature I WOULD wish to use.

Because these functions do not require the extensions, does this mean that I could switch to Dreamweaver etc at a later date and my site would not need to be redesigned?

Avoiding FP's "special" features is definitely a good idea for future maintainability. Dreamweaver and other editors support include files, if you want to check it out you can download a free DW trial version from the Macromedia web site. HTH.

Thanks Mattur

Just tried out a 'borrowed' copy of Dreamweaver 3 - I think I will go with that :-)
