Having just made the leap from windows to linux I am now trying to find replacement software for tools I had became used to on my windows box.

Currently I am playing about with quanta and blue fish. Not so much wysiwyg, but very handy editors never the less. Can someone recoment a nice wysiwyg editor for the linux platform.

Thanks.

Mack.

Hi Mack

I travelled this route without much success.

WYSIWYG is available in Mozilla Composer and IBM WebSphere Homepage Builder - but nothing else that I could find.

Mozilla is half decent, but not a match for Dreamweaver.
The IBM product is prone to crashing (it runs using a version of Wine)

Other than that, Win4Lin lets you run a full version of Win98 inside linux. Its a little slower than native Win98, but lets you run pretty much all Windows WYSIWYG editors. This proved to be the better option for me by far.

Thanks for the info 4eyes. I think I will stick with the 2 I mentioned earlier, I think it's helping me get better at coding by hand. Each page I finish is a lot more rewarding now. :)
