Dreamweaver 4 Site Definition

I've lost all of my defined sites

When I opened DreamWeaver this morning to make some updates my site window contained no sites.

I was working with DW4 9 hours ago and everything was fine, and 34 defined sites were still there.

Before I went home last night I ran the maintenance wizard which scanned disk & defraged. Could this have erased my sites?

This is the 3rd time it has happened in 4 months, does anyone know why or have a solution to get them back (besides redefining all 34)?

I don't think the files are erased, but I do believe that they are renamed or more like restructured. If I am not wrong, scandisk will change (or ask for change, as per the settings) of the directory/file name it is too long.

Next time when you run scan disk, change the options.

I've been searching around the macromedia forums trying to find a solution without much luck.
I found a link [youneedawebstore.com] which offers a product which will back up your site definitions.

After doing a bit more poking around my computer I found the sites cache is kept in .....

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 4\Configuration\SiteCache

....and the actual defined site sits in the Registy at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 4\Sites\
-Site0
-Site1 and so on.

Just in case it happens again I've take a copy of the site registry file with the 34 sites inlcuded.

sounds like it's wiping out the file. been running DW for like 3 yrs now and never had this happen, nor have i heard of it before..
