Black background flashes as page loads

Anyone have any experience of black backgrounds flashing white before the page loads when using an external Style Sheet?

I am using DWMX on Mac OS X and it only happens with Explorer

It sounds like you might be experiencing the flash of unstyled content [google.com].

Looks like that might be an Explorer on Windows thing but I will give it more of a look - thanks

Are you possibly using a black tiling image as your background color and have #ffffff set as the body color?

Currently experiencing the problem with Explorer 5.2.3 on Mac OS X

I just tested the link myself and it does not happen once the pages are uploaded - still happens locally

I am still curious as to whether that is usual?
