Like in Front page, when you apply a theme to your site, the navigation bar in any page can automatically include all the pages on top of the current page or child level pages.
Is it possible to do the same using Dreamweaver?
Thanks
Alex
But in DW you can use libraies or templates, the libraies are like snippets of html so that you can create a nav bar point it to your files and then any other pages you make will just use that same piece of code. Updating it will update all the other pages that use it.
In front page you can apply a theme to your whole web site. Every time you add a new page the navigation bar adds a button for that page automatically.
This means that if you set the navigation bar's properties appropriately, for every new page front-page will add a button to the navigation bars of the rest of the pages.
How can I do the same in Dreamweaver???
Thanks
Alex
Fortunately you can do the same thing in FP without themes with Include Pages, or you could use SSI. I don't have DreamWeaver, so I can't say what it does...
Yes, the idea of having the software auto-generate links on your navigation is nice, but with only a little more work on your side you can do almost the exact same thing, and still have control over the end result.
Please post any further comments over there.
Thanks,
