Does anyone know how to make a form page using Front Page

I would like to make a basic form using Front Page to collect data like name, phone number, URL, etc, I would like to have a simple textbox for each query, so that the entire form could be sent to my email. Sounds simple enough. How do I do it?

Well using my old frontpage 2000 that I still have on my rig (I use DW now) I go to insert in the top menu.. and pull down to the "form" selection.. from there you can add pretty much any type of input area you want.. Some might say that if you were to learn some of the code behind this stuff you could add a form no matter what app you were using.

yes, i agree, its best to learn what these bits are called such as drop down menu, text field, button box, check box, radio button, list/menu, file field, image field, etc etc and then learn the html that goes with each bit.. any way, dreamweaver is what i use....

Hi there!

Ok, add your form, and create your text fields etc in a table inside the form. It helps if you give these text fields a name (address, telephone, etc) otherwise frontpage will give them a name like T1, T2 etc

Right click on the form and go to form properties, and choose send to email - key in the email! Voila!

Oh yeah I think you get some sort of error saying that it cant be done because you are on a local version of the site (ie on your hard disk and not the web server on the net)so click no when it asks if you want to remove the email recipient.

Publish it to your server, and your on your way!

(oh yeah btw i think u need frontpage extensions in order to do this)
