can anyone help? I am trying to use php codes on my site but I need to insert a line on my html source code. Eeach attempt using the html tag on frontpage has been futile.
Does anyone have any idea how i can remedy that?

Make sure you are in html mode not normal mode.

You may want to look at a plugin called PHP Rocket. It allows you to use PHP with FrontPage.
