Synchronize in dreamweaver--timestamps seem off between me and host.

I have a problem in dreamweaver synchronizing files with my server. Dreamweaver seems to want to sync files that I haven't changed. Some files seem to sync every time...even if I haven't edited them.

An old post on this site...2003...suggested that there may be an issue between the host's time stamp and my computer's... but there was no fix.

Any advice to fix my very time consuming problem? I'll often edit a number of pages and find the sync option to be helpful, but it's currently very slow.

I don't know whether you're using a Mac or PC, but I'm using Dreamweaver on a Mac and it has a most peculiar fault...

Freshly opened, Dreamweaver is fine.
If I leave it running for a couple of weeks and then use the Insert Date box, Dreamweaver's perception of time is no longer the same as Mac Time.

Goodness knows why this should be - perhaps you're seeing something similar...
