I created a site and was going to get it connected to the ftp, but there are permission problems that need to be fixed on the server end. So I took off the ftp remote info, and now I can't save my index page. Any idea how to fix this? It has an asterisk up next to the index.htm tab showing that it isn't saved. If I try to preview in the browser it asks me if I want to save, I click yes, and nothing happens. TIA

If you have an answer, great! But now that they got the permissions fixed, the files save fine. Do you think that having it set up on ftp, and then taking it off caused some kind of internal error not allowing me to save the pages?

Were you editing the local copy of the index file or were you editing across the ftp link to the copy on the server? If it were the latter, you've already answered your own question - the permissions were wrong.
It's quite easy to get the two files (the local version and the version on the webserver) muddled up if you aren't consistent with the site files windows!
