Looking for Homesite Alternative

Homesite does not work as well as it used to, not since macromedia took over anyway. Does anyone know of something similar that allows colour coded editing and perhaps drop-down code finishing for PHP, CSS, HTML, XML, Javascript, is robust and that does not interfere with/overwrite the code you type at all?

Notepad, textpad and other pads are great programmes and lots of talented programmers with hairy chests swear by them. But a basic text editor is not what I am looking for. I apologise in advance if there is a recent topic covering this, but many of the ones I found were mostly about notepad. Thanks.

Have you tried HTML-Kit?

Thanks for the suggestion - I will download it now and see what it is like.

TopStyle is probably where HomeSite would be had it not been sold off. It's made by the original creator of HomeSite. Although it's best known for being a CSS editor it also is a full fledged code editor as well.

Thanks again - I will look at that one too.
