can anyone in simple language explain what is the meaning of this statement...

plz explain in non technical language and also why they use word "extensions" along with it...

i have used frontpage 2000...

Basically it means that you can use a feature on the server called document check in and check out. This will help to prevent two people from working on the same page at the same time.

FP Server Extensions (FPSE) is a program that is installed on the server to help you publish your FP website to. These extensions are needed for publishing, helping your forms to work, etc

Sounds like you need to start with the basics. Why not buy a good book on FrontPage, since the program doesn't come with a decent manual?

While you're at it, upgrade to FP2003--it's a definite improvement over FP2002.
