I used DW to create a template for my site, which has 54 pages. I updated it last a few months ago, on updating the main template, DW would automatically update the 54 pages using this template.
However, upon creating the changes this time around in the main template, DW refuses to update my other pages!
I tried it manually as well but it still isn't working
Can anyone offer any help/suggestions of how I could get DW to update my other pages?
Thanks,
I've had this problem once or twice before as well. I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but try recreating the site cache. Also, keep in mind that any changes you make to the template in an "Editable Region" will not update on the rest of the pages. This was my problem once and I ended up adding what I wanted in a div outside of the editible area with using css to place the information where I wanted it to appear.

When you open a non-updating file, does it have the template name in the top right of the design window, in pale yellow (that's MX on a Mac, but I guess it's common to all platforms).
If not, reattach the template using the Modify/Templates/Apply menu.
That would undo de-attaching the template.
If it does say it's linked, try the update pages submenu in the same menu
I've had problems when the site cache gets out of date.
Oh, and never move your Templates into a new folder!
Hope that helps

I see my template is at 2 locations, one where I saved it and another in the dreamweaver-->lessons--->template directory, when I save my .dwt file it doesn't update the pages using the .dwt, and it doesn't work manually either :(
On an Apple Mac (I guess it's the same on a PC), templates HAVE to be in the Templates folder that Dreamweaver makes for you in your project file structure.
The Save As Template forces it into the correct location.
One thing you might consider trying is to copy the whole project to a new location (for safety!) and then
a) Open the template.
Fiddle with it - enter a character or two and then delete them.
Do a Save As Template and give it a new name.
b) Open just one of the files that doesn't update.
c) Manually (via the Modify menu) apply the new template to it.
d) Save it.
e) Open the new template, fiddle with it and see if it updates the page when you save the template.
It should do.
If it does, ditch the old template, give the new one the old name, and then (if necessary) reattach the templates.
