I have a client with several e-comm sites which I developed.
He has a local competitor who has launched several sites as well.
The competitors sites are generic low-end templates, apparently he has no experience with CSS or HTML.
He can apparently read source code though.
He has copied my clients meta tags word for word and his site content nearly word for word as well.
I know this competitor is not versed in the use of uni-code.
Can I cloak my client's meta tags and content in uni-code without suffering any search engine problems?
If it is possible, I know this would baffle the heck out of the competitor, without the use of a javascript.
Thanks in advance,

Yes, cloaking does involve risk with the search engines. So why not avoid the risk? Just send the competitor and the search engines a DMCA complaint. Not only will this stop the competitor from an activity that is against the law, it would remove the copied pages from the search engines altogether. And IMO, that consequence would be well deserved.
