Structuring content for AI search isn’t just about schema anymore. It’s about how clearly you format your page — headings, short paragraphs, lists, and direct language — so LLMs like ChatGPT and Gemini can easily understand and cite your content. Clarity and structure now drive AI visibility.

Summary:

Carolyn Shelby’s new article [searchenginejournal.com...] shows that LLMs prioritize:

Clear heading hierarchy (H1–H2–H3).

Short, self-contained paragraphs.

Lists, tables, FAQs.

Early key insights (TL;DR first).

Semantic cues ("Step 1", "In summary").

It's worth a read and to reflect on how you are organizing your content in this new world of AI.

Funny thing is, this is simple common sense as regards to page structure and how HTML/CSS is SUPPOSED to be structured.

Those still using h tags for font formatting are the ones at most risk.

On the other hand if one is not all that interested in having AI and LLM STEAL your content, malformed HTML just might save you. :)

@cshel ... I am impressed with Champion Lurkers! Thanks for hanging around all this time!

---Nah. Code properly because it is the right thing to do as it makes your content actually make sense, especially for handicapped and text-to-voice usability.
