Although experimental, Google's Gemini appears to be very good at removing watermarks from images.
I can't see that being something that stays available, imho

That is wrong. Watermarks are a way of protecting images. Otherwise, why bother doing them.

Whilst people have been able to do this for a while, with a graphics program, using AI to do this is encouraging theft, and i'm sure the copyright holder will pursue anyone foolish enough to use this in public.

More concerned as to WHY g would create such a tool in the first place. Starting from "wrong" to solve a thing is not going to end up "right"...
