Search capacity of ChatGPT

Hello,
Has someone experience with the new version of ChatGPT to read directly website to collect info ?
Even when I pass the exact URL, ChatGPT goes to another website which is weird. It looks like he is not accessing directly the website but using first a search engine.

When I do insist, he tells me that he cannot access it due to technical issues. When I ask for more details, I just get:

I encountered issues accessing the website xxxdirectly, as the page failed to load properly. This could be due to network restrictions or server-side problems on the website itself.

I am very curious and eager to learn on this functionality, would it be great if you can share your own experience.

It is possible that the site in question may be blocking access to ChatGPT user agents, they are not welcome on all websites.

i would suggest looking for clues in your web server access log files of visits by chatGPT's bots.

Just a small update. I have tried this feature on other website and the result is not that fascinating. Chatgpt can access a website but still failing in understanding the content. Even missing some easy task like what is the latest article/event. Also i noticed that it keeps repeating the same mistakes.
Let’s see what the future brings, the potential is huge as it could replace I guess a lot of our classic search, on the other hand it is a threat to website content… as a robot could replace real visitors… :-(

this is how they imagine internet, all for pay like netflix, but ok,netflix give me movies
We really need avoid paid that thing
They want change way of internet
