There are numerous reports, around here and in the mainstream press, of OpenAI launching a search service as early as Monday.
There are also many report of google aiming to steal OpenAI's thunder by announcing various search and AI tools and services. It's not unknown for google to do that, of course, as it's done it many times before. The difference this time is that google appears to be on the back foot since OpenAI started offering its AI tools, such as DALL-E, and ChatGPT, and with Microsoft using the tools for its copilot offering with Bing. There lots of buzz in the industry right now, and it feels like the early days of search.
What are we expecting?
