New Computer Worm Aimed at Generative AI Can Steal Personal Data

A new "zero-click" computer worm aimed at exploiting ChatGPT, Gemini, and the open-source AI model LLaVA can steal inputs from prompts, and carry out malicious activities.

The worm could, potentially, create phishing attacks, send email spam, amongst other bad activities.

That kind of thing could make a lot of people very unhappy. These are internal research tests, but if it can be done, it won't be long before it is. Hopefully the defenses can limit the damage. :(
