There's an interesting piece in Wired where OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, says that the "Age of Giant AI Models Is Already Over."
He's talking about the size of the giant models, but believes development will come from further strategies or techniques. It suggests OpenAI has a very large model, compared to others.
At MIT last week, Altman confirmed that his company is not currently developing GPT-5. “An earlier version of the letter claimed OpenAI is training GPT-5 right now,” he said. “We are not, and won't for some time.”
I guess there's a big enough data set, but it's how the data is used which is the thing.
