Microsoft Invests Further in OpenAI and Extends Partnership

Microsoft has extended its partnership with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, and it makes its third investment, although not confirmed, is reported to be $10 billion.

Microsoft said,
“We formed our partnership with OpenAI around a shared ambition to responsibly advance cutting-edge AI research and democratize AI as a new technology platform,” said Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, Microsoft. “In this next phase of our partnership, developers and organizations across industries will have access to the best AI infrastructure, models, and toolchain with Azure to build and run their applications.”


OpenAI said,
we’ve partnered with Microsoft to deploy our technology through our API and the Azure OpenAI Service — enabling enterprise and developers to build on top of GPT, DALL·E, and Codex. We’ve also worked together to build OpenAI’s technology into apps like GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Designer.
