Hyperlink in Windows 2000

I need to know how to change from this:

word{HYPERLINK [rootsweb.com...]

to this: Word

When putting a hyperlink in a document in word 2000
should not be seeing the actual hyperlink work. Help please. Nancy

are you trying to post JUST CONTENT (no links?) if so, then you need to paste into a text program like notepad (which doesn't recognize formatting or links) and THEN copy and paste this text from notepad (or similar text only editor) into Word.

I believe there is also a 'paste special' but I'm not sure how that works.
