Message Too Old, No Replies

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Entire URL removed.

Accidentally removed entire URL from Google.

I wanted to remove images and 1 page from Google using the Google removal tool.

When I viewed the pending list on the left hand side, somehow my entire .com was pending!

There was no way to change it. I immediately emailed every Google email listed. I phoned and was told I have to email.

I reuplaoded the whole site to have a fresh content date.

I manually submitted on the Google site.

Is there anything else I can do, and how long will it take to become reindexed?

Thanks,
Jackie

I received a reply from Google. They are sayingI can't be reindexed until my robots.txt file is removed. I have created an earlier post about it [webmasterworld.com...]

Apparently, I received a standard reply. I suppose since I removed the URL, they won't rank it for six months.

Would it be a good idea to upload all of the content to a new URL and point the .com to it?

Would I have a CHANCE of ranking in the next 6 months this way?

Hi jackieB,

I would be happy to help you but what you write is a bit confused:
How and what exactly have you removed?
What's the history of the six months?
What's the deletion of the robot.txt?

Answering to your questions:

Would it be a good idea to upload all of the content to a new URL and point the .com to it?

Yes,it would be.

Would I have a CHANCE of ranking in the next 6 months this way?

If you're lucky you could be re-indexed in a week!
It depends very much on inbound links quality.
If your site is linked to a well trusted and already indexed web page it could be possible.
there is a thread started just about this argument:

I attempted to have the images and 1 page via the Google automatic removal tool. When I looked to the right the entire URL was listed as pending removal too! There was no way to cancel it. The entire URL is now gone from Google.

What's the history of the six months?

The automatic removal tool says the bots won't reindex you for 90 days. After you log in, it says six months.

What's the deletion of the robot.txt?

Before using the Google removal tool, I tried via the robots.txt.
I had it set incorrectly and it was somehow excluing google due to the googlebot line. It has since been changed.

thanks,
Jackie

I just want to make sure I understand the advice correctly.

If I upload the content to www.someotherdomain.com and point www.idiotremovedmefromgoogle.com to it, google will still index the www.someotherdomain.com?

Thanks,
Jackie

Okay. Hopefully this will work.

I have www.unlistedgoogledomain.com as an opening page to www.googlepleaselistme.com .

Will I have to remove all of the other pages of www.unlistedgoogledomain.com so I don't get hit for dup content?

Thanks,
Jackie

I am hoping for some advice and a reply.

I have the site set up as explained, but haven't yet removed all of the content from the main site.

But the entrance leads to the new site.

Will this work?

Anticipating your response,

Remove all your content from the previous site, than 301 to the new one and submit it again to Google and SEs you prefer.
To avoid dup content risk remove all your content from the previous one so that it gives you a 404 error.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that. The domain that would have to go is ourbusinessname.com .

What are the risks of having the home page links from ourbusinessname.com go to temp4google.com?

Thanks,

Pay attention!
No home page redirection links.
Delete all your files (also home page) in "yourbusinessanme com" web space;leave just the empty space (404 error)under this domain and put in it a 301 command ( it can be carried out also by your hosting company support)to the new site.
No risk.It cannot hurt you in any way.Be sure.

I have completed the switch to the new domain w/ a 301 from the previous.

When is a good time to check Google to see if the page is ranking and this is working? PR 0 and no url indexed yet.

Thanks,

Its been a month. The new URl comes up in Google if I search the buisness name, but doesn't rank under its keywords AT ALL.

We used to be in the top three in every popular search engine.

Of course. To be ranked requires months!
Be patient and optimize the pages you want ranked.Be sure that keywords you target are present in their title tag and body text and link well them.
