No problems with getting google data by using file() (PHP)

Hey Folks,
Ok I kinda want to use some google information for my tool(s) and I just tryed out if I could get the google informations by using file() in PHP - it worked without problems.

Can I just go ahead and continue getting my Informations like that?
Is Google going to lock out my IP after a while?

What experiences have been made?

I don't want to use the API because it has a limitation and my tool might need more...
