Did I ask this question in the wrong place or is it too basic a question? Perhaps it's been answered too many times? Search didn't bring up the answer.

For clarification, I no longer use my XP Pro's Outlook Express. I now use Mozilla's Thunderbird because it handles spam more to my liking. I keep OE selected in Google Desktop Search Preferences because some old emails on my hard drive are still in the OE format.
