Google API 1000 Limit...

I am using Google API. However, I need much more than 1000 queries per day. I wrote the API team a detailed message reguesting more queries, a few weeks ago. Still no responce...

I have heard others have written to Google, and were approved for more than 1000 queries a day. How long did it take to get a responce? Did you write to the same API email address that the key was sent from? Is Google flexible in terms of granting more queries? 1000 is really limiting...

They didn't email me for three weeks and approved me. The email they use that sends you the API key number in, they don't respond to that one, I don't think any way... Try this email: [e-mail].

They don't have to do that at all, Yahoo! doesn't for one.

They gave me 2000 queries per day, which is what I asked for. You could likely get more.

Limits:

Number of queries per day: As fast as you can type. Any faster and you may be banned for being an automated tool.

Results per query: 1000. Can be extended, in effect, by doing several Advanced searches, and stitching the SERPs together.

thanks Victor. I was thinking just to write a tool that would directly query google, so as you say they monitor that. hmmm so the only option is the API...

You could if you have a couple different IPs, otherwise they'll catch you.

what exactly can you do with this API key? what do you guys use it for?

eg in a few lines of code you can do a load of queries against your favorite keywords, and slam the results into a local database file for later analysis and historical comparision,

The allocation limit is based on the account(s) in the My Client section. The more terms you have in your account(s), the higher your allocation.

If you want a higher allocation, put more AdGroups into your account(s).
