Everyone has greybar!

You can imagine how far my heart sunk when I clicked through to my site to notice that the Pagerank indicator on my Google toolbar had gone grey. Nearly broke another keyboard (they should make these things tougher) then I clicked through to my other sites and they were all greybarred.

Eventually, I went to webmasterworld and it was greybar too so I figured there was a glitch in my toolbar. Having downloaded and re-installed several times it is still not working. Does anyone know how to fix this or what might be causing it?

Could it be a firewall or something else that you have recently installed blocking access to google server?

I thought of that and no, even with all my security features off it still happens. The last microsoft download was done over two weeks ago aswell so nothing has been added to my computer within the past week and I use the toolbar daily so I would have noticed before.

I've been getting the same thing for a few days now. Refreshing the page seems to do the trick in my case.

Is your hosts file pointing to a particular Google datacenter that is currently offline? If so, deleting this line in your hosts file should fix the problem.
