I manage about 10 domains that show Page Rank when you type "www.mydomain.com" But if I remove the subdomain and enter "mydomain.com" they all have a zero/no page rank.
I never seen this before. Does anyone know what causes this?

They may have not seen yourdomain.com or they penalized it for having the same content as your www.yourdomain.com. www.yourdomain.com And yourdomain.com are seen as two different sites by the search engines.

You will find it interesting that this thread also has a pr0. Was it penalized. I doubt it. I noticed some pages on the net that are active only a week and then they disapear. They always have a pr0. no penalty just not updated. Grey would make more sense but i guess google pr isnt perfect yet.
