Google browse by name within windows folders?

I just noticed the new feature "browse by name", which enables the user to search in google directly by typing f.i a company name in the IE address bar.
[toolbar.google.com...]

But I just typed my name there and Google opened a normal windows explorer, showing me my subfolder within my PC!

Any clue!?!

Can you reproduce that on your PC a second time around?

I can recreate this in Windows XP, but only if the folder is located on my desktop. I don't think it has anything to do with the browse by name function of the Google toolbar.

It has nothing to do with Google.

Since Microsoft merged IE and Explorer, they share a common namespace [kinda]. If you type the name of any folder on your Desktop into IE's address bar, then it will navigate there.

[for a side example, suppose you have a folder called "stuff" on your desktop. Open the START > RUN dialog, and type "stuff" in there, and press enter. It will open that folder]

I think it absolutely has to do with Google, since the result page is a Google search page and not a MSFT page.
