i saw one of the referrers in my logs being [toolbar.google.com...] .. what does this mean? how can someone get to my site from the toolbar itself?

My guess would be that they typed your URL into the search box of the toolbar. If you type a direct URL into the toolbar search box, it will take you to the site and not to a google list of results.

hmmm .. as simple as that eh. i just tried it myself and got sent directly to my website.

i really never thought it would be as simple as that because i'm thinking "why would someone type in the url there and not in the browser's address bar itself"

LOL top 5. Funny enough, I actually watched my husband do it yesterday. He wanted to check something at CNN and went to google and typed in cnn.com LOL.

I've accidentally typed a URL in the Google search box instead of the address bar on more than one occasion. :)
