do you mean you get the extra popups because you use them yourself and you work on the pages thereby causing you to see more?

i think pop ups depends on the kind of sites you visit, certain industries being notorious, so i doubt you'll be getting many confessees to high rates! although as i surf mostly popup free and have done for years, i'm always astonished when i fire up ie and surf a bit.
the thing is it is an easy way for high traffic sites to make extra money, i like them as while they remain a success it saves someone coming up with a different way that i cannot bypass!
I read that Google recently finished a test with their toolbar, counting the average number of popups it catches per month. They found that if you have the toolbar installed in your browser, and you are an average internet surfer (about 2 hours a day), it blocks an average of 317 popups per month!
