MS updates changed search preference in IE

Search preference was changed

I just noticed that the search preference on IE 6.0 was recently changed. It had been set on Google and when I hit the search button it came up blank.

As the only recent change I have made lately was the Microsoft critical updates in April I can only assume that they changed the preferences in IE.

Has anyone else encountered this.

It was easy to restore through the Google toolbar advanced options.
