hi

i have on my internet explored the blue letter G with a black arrow pointing down, and a search panel to the right. how do i delete the history in it? like when i press "d" , for exanple, the words dogs and diamonds may come up because i may have searched them earlier.

iv seen other posts like this, but when i press that blackk arror there is no clear history button. there is only find in this page, google, and add engines. can someone plz help? thanks!

and by the way, i went to internet options and press clear forms, but it didn't work.

If you have an 'add engines' option, are you sure it's the G toolbar that you have, and not some other flavour? I can't see a similar option on my G toolbar to add other engines to it.

On any install of the google toolbar I have seen it has the full Google logo, not just a "g"?

Also, It doesn't try to autocomplete the search term when you type it in the search box. it does however offer a drop down menu with the last 12 searches.

Are you 100% sure it is the Google bar you have installed, and not some other bar that offers google search as an option.

Not so sure on the google history but to delete the history in Internet Explorer right click on the Internet Explorer desktop icon >click properties >General tab >click "Clear History" >OK

You may also want to clear the temporary internet files > Delete Files and Delete Cookies. They are in the same section.

Another place that stores info is the AutoComplete. Right click on the Internet Explorer desktop icon >click properties >Content tab > >Personal information >click AutoComplete >clear forms >OK.
You can adjust the options there.

And yet one more... click the Start button >Settings >Taskbar and Start Menu > Advanced >Clear >OK

It is definitely not the Google toolbar. Some other toolbars use Google's Favicon ([google.com ]), but the official Google Toolbar never has.
