PR / AdWords Connection?

Are Google AdWords and Google PR inter-laced?

I have about 40 domains. On only one of them do I advertise in Gooogle AdWords.
During the day when there is money in my account I have a PR 0. At night, after my funds have been exhausted, I have a PR4.

All my other sites maintain their respective PR day and night

Anybody else see this with their site?
