Minimizing the ToolBar on IE

Is it still collecting data?

When you minimize the toolbar on IE so that it doesn't show at all, is it still running and collecting data?

Or do you have to go into preferences and change it?

What do you mean minimize? Do you mean hide/disable it under View > Toolbars > Google?

If that's what you mean then it looks like the Toolbar stops sending information back when it's hidden (from a network capture).
