Fix PageRank Through Proxies?

Hi,

Just noticed in the options for the toolbar there's an experimental option to "Fix PageRank through Proxies"

What does this actually do? Does it effect what rank the toolbar reports at all?

If you are behind a firewall and a proxy server, PageRank may not perform reliably.

The option is for use behind a proxy or firewall only if you are having problems w/ PR displaying.
