Otbound links impact and PR site distribution

Hi everybody,

I have 2 questions about PR.

1. Our site has been online for 1 month now. In the first 10 days we got PR 2 for the home page. Since than we added at least 15 outbound links with PR between 3-6, but PR on our home page didn't change, it is still 2. Is this normal?

2. Googlebot deep crawled our site once and most pages PR turned from gray, to white PR0. From your experience what is impacting PR on other pages in the site other than home page? In the other words, should we try to get links to our "sub pages" or just keep linking to our home page?

From reading here and elsewhere, I think PR is updated monthly. I found a really good article that explains PR, linking, the toolbar etc.. Not sure if I can leave the url to the article, so you can sticky me if you'd like it, it's a good read and explains quite a lot.
